FREMONT, CA: ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (NYSE: ZIM), a global container liner shipping company, has declared the establishment of ZIMARK, a technology-based company formed in collaboration with the Israeli startupSodyo Ltd., to offer next-generation scanning solutions for the logistics and supply chain sectors. ZIM will make a direct equity investment in Sodyo in addition to its joint venture with Sodyo in the establishment of ZIMARK.

ZIMARK will offer its customers cutting-edge scanning solutions that leverage Sodyo's revolutionary proprietary technology for connecting offline content to the online world.

The ZIMARK scanning technology, which is focused on colorful markers, image recognition, and advanced algorithms, is the most advanced on the market, allowing accurate scans from virtually any distance as well as scanning multiple markers at the same time, among other features. ZIMark would help supply chain companies to reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance customer service.

Karin Levy will serve as CEO of ZIMARK. Ms. Levy brings vast foreign expertise in the maritime, logistics, and supply chain sectors with her. Ms. Levy has spent the last 15 years at ZIM in a variety of senior roles. She has led large-scale functions on both a commercial and organizational level. Ms. Levy's most recent job was as President of ZIM's the Caribbean and Central America District in Miami.
